I was excited to get to order this knife. I already have and am very happy with the first knife I received . But when the knife finally arrived. The handle was loose. There’s play between the steel and the wood. The edge is no where near as sharp as my first one. Not happy this time and sadly, I can’t recommend this product anymore more.

Unsure what to say. In a way it’s really a unique product that you won’t find in other cuisines. Quite a nice piece of silvery. Blade looks great. But my first impression has also be wow “quite small”. Not like a real chef’s knife. Which is also not so bad as we most of the time work in not so big kitchens, hu ?!. With a real chef knife you sometimes put it where you should not. Here the length makes it easy to put aside etc. But I have to admit I was expecting something a bit longer. And the real bad element of it to me is the handle. Way too small. The tip (bottom shall I say..) of it stays in the palm. All my heavy knife have a handle that go above my palm, which gives them a great balance when using it, safety etc. But I may need to use it a bit more and get accustomed to it. Maybe it’s a new way to hold a knife and get the best out of it. Bit doubtful but time will tell…
But as a conclusion the overall visual impression is good. Might still be a bit expensive though.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but bought this beautiful looking knife that was delivered well ahead of scheduled date. Unfortunately the pattern on the blade has started fading already and I have used it for less than a week. Not sure if this is supposed to happen but was expecting the pattern to remain….so a little disappointed.

I’ve bought the Serbian knife already in November and I was very satisfied. After that I’ve discovered this one when the price tag showed an interesting discount. Now I was prepared that it would take a little bit longer to receive it.
The knife itself is really nice and looking great. For sure it’s not a “real” Damaszener knife. The pattern is added to both sides. But also this was as expected. (A “real” Damaszener knife would have a price tag 10 – 20 times higher!). With it’s top pattern the knife is nicely matching with my Serbian knife. The bottom part is showing a nice Damaszener pattern. The knife is really an eye catche!
And what’s most important for a knife? The sharpness! And this knife is really, really sharp.
Something what could be better? Yes, I would have paid some Euros more if the handle (made of rosewood) would be nicer and especially would be polished…
But again: A great knife for a real good price (even if you have to add the Import-VAT like me)!
